Adobe Business Catalyst Email Account Updates

Wednesday, March 23, 2016 Michael Anderson

As a provider of a complete business solution, Business Catalyst values your security and always keeps up with current standards.

In order to better protect your email communication, Adobe have made some changes to the way you access your webmail and email software. As such, they have created a dedicated secure domain for email which uses SSL/TLS encryption for both incoming and outgoing communication. The new domain will be used to access your email from webmail and your email software.

While you will be able to continue using the existing email settings until 31st March 2016, it is recommended that customers update their email settings as soon as possible to benefit from the enhanced security features.

To update your email software use the settings below:

    Incoming (receive emails)

    • Inbound Server:
    • Inbound Server Type: IMAPS (993) or POP (995)
    • User Name:  (your email address)
    • Connection Security: SSL/TLS
    • Authentication Method: Normal Password

    Outgoing (send emails)

    • Outbound Server:
    • Outbound Server Type: SMTPS (465)
    • User Name: (your email address)
    • Connection Security: SSL/TLS
    • Authentication Method: Normal Password

NOTE: If you are only using Business Catalyst for your incoming mail server but are sending emails via your Internet Service Provider (bigpond, optus etc) you don't need to update the Outgoing settings.
