Thursday, October 06, 2011 Michael Anderson

Every industry has it’s shady operators, promising the world without delivering it. The Website Design and SEO Industry is NO exception. Heard those ads saying ‘We guarantee you will rank on the first page of Google fast'?

The problem is that… paying for Google Adwords is the only way you can make this type of quick-fix promise.

Depending on what industry you are in, and how niche it is, it could be relatively easy or extremely hard and very expensive to get on the first page of Google organically (without paying for Adwords), let alone to the top of it.

But be prepared, Organic SEO is a mix of research, knowledge, experience and calculation and there is never a guarantee.

There are many measurements that go into ranking your Websites Organic SEO including Domain age, your site’s popularity, how many websites are linking to yours and over 200 website indicators that help gauge how relevant your website is to a customers search query.

Improving your rank should be calculated, with a full analysis done on the site first to ensure you know all the elements that require fixing as well as the parts that are structurally sound. That way you can move forward with a checklist of technical, seo and popularity updates in order of importance and relevance.

Then, as you move to improve the technical aspects of your site, optimise pages for keywords and improve your sites popularity, your online business will start to climb the ranking ladder, getting you closer to the top with each step. You need to consider quality strategies to improve your rankings, not overnight fixes, so when you get to the top you stay near the top.

Don’t be fooled by fraudsters. Get a full site analysis and we can talk you through what needs to be done and the order to do it in to get you moving up faster.
