    Upgrading to Google Analytics

With the upcoming site transfers away from Adobe Business Catalyst, one key area to consider now is setting up third party Analytics for your website.

All Business Catalyst sites use built-in Adobe Analytics and much of this can be exported to excel if you want to keep copies of the historical data. What we recommend would be to have Google Analytics installed (if you aren’t currently utilising this) which moves with your website and would provide analytics now, throughout the transition and on a CMS new platform.

We can setup this Google Analytics account so that you are the ‘owner’ of the account meaning you can login and view your analytics information at any time and export reports to excel or PDF. We can also create custom dashboards of specific key performance metrics like customer geography, referral links, page views, top landing pages, new vs returning customers, social media referrals and device usage, to be sent to you daily, weekly or monthly so you can easily track your website success in detail.

Further to this, Google Analytics has the ability to track conversion goals like submission of your ‘contact us’ form and we can even track how many people visit specific pages, click on your email address or click-to-call your phone number on their mobiles which is is a big upgrade in tracking compared to the current Adobe Analytics software.

Also, if you are using Adwords or considering this type of search engine marketing in future, having Google Analytics on your website is vital to track your Ad Campaign success in detail and we can even import conversion goal tracking and remarketing lists into Adwords so all your data is linked and integrated.

Let us know if your interested in Google Analytics integration and we can chat further about your specific requirements.
