Location Marketing with Google
When a local search or location-based search is made on Google, you want your Business to feature at the top of the page on a map. That way customers can see that your business is located close to them, and they can even get directions.
To get your Business ranking for location searches on Google and across the Google network, you need a Google Maps Listing. A Google Maps Listing gives you an enhanced first page ranking for your Business and should be an integral part of your Location Marketing strategy.

Your Google Maps Business listing can be setup as a 'local or small business with a storefront', 'multiple locations' or a 'business offering services at customer locations' and can include the following details about your business -
- Business contact details
- Website url & email
- Business description
- Opening hours
- Pubic Holiday hours and closure dates over Christmas
- Logo, photos or video links
- Internal and external photos of your business location
- Industry categories for your listing to searched in
- Posts about specials, promotions or offers (industry limited)
If you don't have a shopfront, you can still have a listing but your address will display as a default suburb locator and we can choose
the radius area you deliver to or visit customers within.
Your map listing is added to your Google Account and the listing can be verified by standard mail and sometimes by phone.
